The group "Nansen" is named after the Norwegian explorer, zoologist, oceanographer and statesman Fridtjof Nansen (1861-1930), recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1922.

Eirik Mo is the student helper responsible for "Nansen"
Eirik is a graduate student of engineering in industrial mathematics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim. He has been leader of Trondheim Young Scientists. In March 2001 he helped organise the largest international thematic student festival in the world in Trondheim. Eirik has initiated an Internet based homework aid that he runs on behalf of the Norwegian Association of Young Scientists.
