Science Café

At the Science Café, science and research comes out of its hiding place and gets discussed over a cup of coffee. The Science Café is organised at the end of each month in Bergen and Oslo and we invite competent researchers to discuss and debate current scientific problems. The café is free and all are welcome.

We invite strong names from science and research to hold lectures and discussions, but we ask them to leave their complicated language at home. After a while the audience gets the opportunity to ask questions, and the lively debate that follows easily gets you engaged.

People of all ages and backgounds come to the Science Café. It is not who you are, but that you are interested and curious that is important.

The Science Café takes place at the end of each month. Check www.vitenskapskafeen.no for the exact time, place and this month's café title. From time to time we also have speakers from the UK at the café.

The Science Café is a collaboration between The Norwegian Foundation for Youth and Science, British Council Norway, The Research Council of Norway and The Norwegian Association of Young Scientists.
